TEATTERI TUOMIKKO IS A TRAVELLING PUPPET THEATRE whose high-quality performances captivate both children and adults.
TEATTERI TUOMIKKO TRAVELS AROUND FINLAND, bringing theatre to places where children are. Performances are booked for daycare centres, schools, libraries, museums, parishes and various events. Everything is made easy for the customer, as the necessary technology and other equipment travel with the theatre.
The programme includes delightful children's theatre performances, interactive performances by the clown Täti Hattara, and the "Mummo kertoi tarinoita" (Grandma told stories) concept aimed at older people. All of these are linked by the imaginative use of puppet theatre techniques.
Behind the curtain at Teatteri Tuomikko is me, puppet theatre artist Terhi Tuomikko. I am a theatre expression instructor (AMK) by profession and have completed a professional degree in puppet theatre. In addition to Teatteri Tuomikko, I have worked as a puppet actor at the Lahti City Theatre (2022-23), as a director at Lahti Youth Theatre (2018-19 and 2022-23) and as an actress at Petrozavodsk National Theatre in Russia (2007-09).
