The Great Christmas Adventure
The Great Christmas Adventure is a touring children’s theatre production in which old Christmas decorations are given a new lease of life.
A Santa hat, gingerbread biscuits, a Christmas tree with its candles and, of course, lovely new Christmas decorations – in Salli’s opinion, Christmas isn’t a proper Christmas without them. But what’s a girl to do when Grandad refuses to buy new decorations, the Christmas tree candles are accidentally broken, and the elves are keeping a close eye on Salli for her naughty behaviour? Christmas is ruined!
Fortunately, Pietu the soft toy mouse wants to help and entices Salli on an imaginative Christmas adventure. During their journey, the friends learn what it means to ‘pass on the good’ and what gingerbread biscuits have in common with a proper Christmas.
Salli and Pietu, familiar from Theatre Tuomikko’s play *The Great Adventure*, continue their imaginative games in this delightful Christmas play, which ingeniously utilises the techniques of puppet theatre and the logic of children’s play. The performance reminds us that a proper Christmas isn’t about new things, but about a kind heart.
Recommended for children aged approximately 2–10.
The show tours annually in November and December.

Technical requirements
The performer brings their own props, lighting and sound equipment, and sets up and operates everything themselves. The client is responsible for erecting any seating.
