The Runoware event is a forum for discussing poetry. Poetry can be difficult to approach, especially if you don’t have much experience of it. The event takes its inspiration from Tupperware parties, where products are presented in people’s homes.

You can invite Tommi Parko to your home or another venue to discuss poetry and present books of translations. There is no cost for the visit. If you wish to provide food and drink for the participants, there will be a cost for these, but the guest’s visit is free of charge.

A good Runoware event typically involves 6–12 people. It would be great if the participants had some interest in poetry. Half the time at the event is spent discussing poetry and the other half looking through translated poetry books.

You can organise a Runoware event at home or in a club room, a library meeting room or similar venue. Runoware sessions have also been organised at various other events.
