Documentary screening and visit
A screening of one or more of our documentaries and a workshopor Q&A-style visit, suitable for film clubs, schools, events or as a standalone presentation, for example.
Alongside the screening, we’ll talk about documentary-making and the film in question, as well as what it’s been like to start making documentaries, beginning with YouTube. The discussion session encourages participants to try their hand at making their own films through trial and error.
If the screening is organised for a suitable group, we can hold a documentary workshop for an additional fee, which will provide participants with ideas and skills for making their own documentary. The workshop can be tailored to suit the group’s level of expertise.
Examples of documentaries that can be screened include:
- GAUCHO y CABALLO, The Gaucho and His Horse [26 mins]
- The Women of Kihnu [12 mins] and/or The Old Believers [15 mins]
- The ‘Everyday Life of Scientists’ series [approx. 45 mins in total]

Technical requirements
We need equipment in the venue from which the documentary can be viewed (a screen and projector or a TV).If you also wish to organise a workshop, it would be helpful for participants to have access to tools for creating their own documents, namely video cameras (either traditional or on a mobile phone/tablet) and a simple video editing programme (e.g. CapCut, ClipChamp, iMovie, etc.)
