Tuisku and Tömpsis – An Adventure in the Lilac Forest is a zany and adventurous
children’s play about courage, forgiveness and friendship, as well as pulling together

“Right on the edge of the Lilac Forest, in its furthest corner, stands the forest’s
source of the forest’s vitality, the Golden Tree. A great storm strikes the forest and topples the Golden Tree,
putting the forest in grave danger. The protector of the Lilac Forest, the Flamebird, sends two
silly mice, Tuisku and Tömpsis, to carry out an important mission. On their journey, the mice meet the cunning and scheming Jippo the Fox, who
joins them on their journey. The friends embark on adventures in the magical world of the Lilac Forest,
which they set out together to save from the looming danger.

This amusing and relatable story is brought to life with the help of a large picture book, which makes the performance easy to follow even for a multilingual audience. The story’s moral reminds us of the importance of friendship and the significance of asking for and granting forgiveness.
