The Hat Hunt

The Hat Hunt is a lively and fast-paced puppet show based on Sven Nordqvist’s book *Hattjakten*. The show tells the story of Papa, who always wears a hat, but one morning his hat has gone missing… A search, hilarious characters and clues that mysteriously appear lead Papa down paths he has never seen or experienced before in pursuit of his lost hat.

In the hands of the two puppeteers, Nanna Mäkinen and Lotta Wiberg, a variety of puppet characters come to life, each communicating with the main character in their own unique way. The set design by Maiju Tainio, which unfolds box by box, also surprises the audience with its ingenuity and richness. The entire performance is punctuated by music composed and performed by Aino Lehtovaara.

The two performers are responsible for both the performance and the setting up and dismantling of the set.

Technical requirements

The performers will bring their own props, puppets and portable sound equipment.

The client is required to provide:
Outdoors: seating, i.e. benches or chairs for the audience.

Indoors: seating, i.e. benches or chairs for the audience. In a theatre space, we are happy to use the venue’s lighting and sound equipment: the performance features a single lighting sequence, and the sound is operated from the stage but connected to the venue’s sound system via a standard 3.5mm stereo plug.
