Rukkanen is a hilarious, adventure-packed, wordless play in which an ordinary little mouse leads a truly extraordinary life! When Rukkanen comes to life, a fast-paced journey begins, taking him from a puddle to the deck of a pirate ship – and ultimately all the way to the glittering depths of space.

Along the way, they encounter not only pirates and hobby horses, but also perfectly ordinary challenges: how can you brush your teeth when the temptation to brush everything else is overwhelming, and how might you manage to slip on a shirt with far too many sleeves?

Rukkanen is a wordless children’s theatre production that transforms familiar everyday situations into playful adventures and invites both children and adults to view everyday life from a new perspective. Through animation, puppetry and physical theatre, everyday objects – shoes, spoons and even puddles – come to life and reveal the power of a child’s imagination.

This funny, touching and relatable performance offers children the chance to recognise their own feelings. For adults, it serves as a gentle reminder of just how big and significant even a child’s smallest challenges can be. Expect a warm and laughter-filled experience where the whole family can immerse themselves in the marvellous world of a child’s imagination.

The performance is staged by two performers.
