Literary activities for groups

We offer literary activities that may include reading, discussing what has been read, and writing exercises. Depending on the situation, the reading material may include poetry for adults or children, short stories, excerpts from novels, newspaper articles or excerpts from non-fiction books. We can also read book reviews. If participants can read a novel or non-fiction book or listen to an audiobook between meetings, we can discuss these books and write reviews of them together.

Writing exercises can focus on stream of consciousness writing, expressive writing, biographical writing and creative writing. The purpose of the exercises is to stimulate creativity, promote well-being and create meaningful interpretations of the participants' life experiences. We can also offer personal feedback on the texts. As part of the literary activities, it is also possible to learn about the work of an editor and non-fiction writer through lectures and creative exercises.

The literary activities are led by Sanna-Kaisa Hongisto, CEO of Taidos Oy, journalist and non-fiction writer.
