Voimaeläin
Voimaeläin is an interactive dance theatre performance that engages children. The characters Kaisla, Kiira and Tuisku read fables to each other. A fable is a very old narrative form, usually in the form of an animal story, containing a moral lesson. Inspired by the fables, Kaisla, Kiira and Tuisku set out to find their own power animals. They search for power animals among the animals of the North, and the audience gets to join in the search!
The friends immerse themselves in the world of fable animal stories until Kiira shows her friends some exciting cards. The search for power animals begins! They are sought among the animals of the North, and the audience can participate in the search in the form of a guessing game. At the same time, we learn about our own northern animals, gain information about them and hear about the beliefs associated with them. The performance provokes thoughts about the value of animals and humans. What should animals get from humans? What can humans get from animals? Power animals strengthen children's self-esteem and agency as individuals. Children can reflect on their own abilities and strengths through the characteristics of animals. Technical requirements
The work can be performed using the theatre's existing lighting and sound equipment and with the help of the theatre staff. The performers need three headphones.
