The Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood is the Royal Puppet Theatre’s most popular production of all time and the one that has been in its touring repertoire for the longest.
The father has to get his son to have his evening meal, brush his teeth and go to bed. He promises to tell his son an exciting bedtime story about a hero dressed in red, and this piques his interest – a red cloak and hood – Yes! It must be Spider-Man!
The father’s story draws the son, who is immersed in computer games, into the world of fairy tales. Together, father and son begin to weave a tale of Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf. As their imaginations run wild, the familiar story takes some surprising twists. On her way to her grandmother’s, Little Red Riding Hood encounters the Big Bad Wolf, who is taking a shortcut to the same place. On his journey, the wolf encounters many familiar characters from Hanhiemo’s Fairy Tale Treasures.
