Aura of Puppets is a network of 80 contemporary puppetry professionals that brings together the best in the field in Finland and develops the art form further. Aura of Puppets promotes contemporary puppetry in Finland and abroad. In addition to active performance activities, we share the expertise of puppetry professionals in a variety of ways. Our giant puppets can visit a wide variety of events and parades. We organise the international biennial TIP festival in Turku and the Oh My Puppets festival in Helsinki.

Our artists work in a variety of roles in the field of puppet theatre, such as actors, directors, performers, set designers, scriptwriters, costume designers, musicians, visual artists, lighting and sound designers, composers and producers. In addition to their artistic work, many of them are also involved in teaching and expert work. The contemporary puppet theatre of Aura of Puppets' artists is polyphonic, experimental, transcends the boundaries between art forms and takes a new approach to tradition. Although many of the performances are aimed at children, several are intended for adults only. The performances can be about almost anything, and the network's values include the intrinsic value of art, freedom, diversity and polyphony.
