Nature photography walk – photography workshop

The workshop involves a guided photography tour of local nature sites, such as the area around Lake Hervanta. During the workshop, participants will reflect on their relationship with local nature through four different photography exercises, which will not only help them create interesting and unique photographs but also encourage them to consider the significance of local nature from different perspectives. One of the key themes is everyone’s right to access nature, the rules governing outdoor activities, and an appreciation of our shared local natural environment. You can bring a camera or your own smartphone along on the trip.

Technical requirements

The workshop can begin and end indoors, for example in a classroom, library or multi-purpose room. The venue must allow for a brief discussion and briefing before the photography walk.

In addition, a safe outdoor area or nature trail in the local area is required to run the workshop, for example near a lake or in woodland, where participants can move about and take photographs during the guided tour.
