Lamppukärpänen – Husfluga, ljusfluga
KATVE [blind spot] contemporary dance group Lamppukärpänen - Husfluga, ljusfluga introduces the world's largest fly and features Eppu Nuotio's charming insect rhymes. Lamppukärpänen is a solo dance piece about the world's largest fly, who loves books and all kinds of insects. There are an astonishing number of insects in the world, such as the siira, the lymymuurahainen, the kirjanpainaja, the papupiilokas, the harsokorento, the saksanturilainen, the hyppyhäntäinen, the kirjatäi and so on!
Small insects run the world with their activities; thanks to them, plants bear fruit and people have food to eat – and the world, and especially humans, would not be able to survive without small insects. That is why Lamppukärpänen reads and learns about everything possible. And yes, he is enough of an insect to experience the fascinating transformation from a yellow-green larva into a handsome fly. Choreography and dance: Heidi Masalin Poems: Eppu Nuotio Sound design: Olli Havu
