KATVE [blind spot] Company is a contemporary dance group based in Helsinki, founded in 2012 and known for its multidimensional and fresh contemporary dance works. The group's works are characterised by imagination, physicality and boundless interest in the various phenomena of life. The artistic director of the group is dance artist Heidi Masalin.

KATVE [blind spot] Company's strong audiovisual approach is the result of collaboration between a group of multidisciplinary professionals. The works involve freelance artists hired on a production-by-production basis, who are strong professionals in the field of contemporary art.

KATVE [blind spot] Company produces 1-2 premieres annually. Active touring is an important part of the group's activities. The works in the touring programme are suitable for performance not only in traditional theatre venues but also in school gyms, libraries and daycare centres, for example. The group's activities are supported by the City of Helsinki.

Currently, KATVE [blind spot] Company's touring programme includes performances for young children, young people and adults. Lamppukärpänen – Husfluga, ljusfluga (2021), aimed at young children, is a story about the world's biggest fly who loves books. CRAZY BOX is a dance piece about courage and imagination, centred around a box that enables teleportation. The piece can be performed either for nursery-aged children and first-year primary school pupils or for children over the age of 11, young people and adults. Both works, Lamppukärpänen and CRAZY BOX, can be ordered in Finnish and Swedish. The active tour programme also includes BOTANICUM – futuristic imaginings that traverse the realities of plants and humans.
