Magician for children’s birthday parties: The Hero’s Spectacle
MAGICIAN FOR CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES, AGES 4–10
Children’s birthday parties are a working day for parents. A magic show is the part of the party where the children focus on one thing for 45 minutes and the adults get a chance to catch their breath.
The birthday show is a complete experience in its own right, designed for a small group and a living room setting. It is not simply a nursery show moved to a home setting. The birthday child gets to help out with the tricks, and the adults laugh at the same jokes as the children.
I have been performing for children professionally for 15 years, doing around 200 shows a year. In 2025, I performed at 42 birthday parties.
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SHOW:
The Birthday Hero’s Spectacle, 45 minutes: The birthday hero helps out with three magic tricks. As the grand finale, the hero gets to take part in the ‘flying table’ illusion. After the show, every child receives their own balloon animal.
The balloon animals will keep the children entertained even after the show, so there won’t be a dull moment before the cake.
PRICE:
The Hero’s Spectacle: Mon–Thu €340, Fri–Sun €440.
The price includes everything: sound system, backdrop, magic table and balloons. No VAT is added to the invoice (Section 45 of the VAT Act). The agreed amount is final.
Travel costs: within a 200-kilometre radius of Helsinki, 0 euros. For distances further afield, any travel surcharge will be agreed in advance.
Current prices: taikurikari.fi/taikuri-synttareille.
OTHER PACKAGES:
1. Premium VIP: The Complete Magician’s Birthday Party. Includes everything listed above, plus a private magic lesson for the birthday boy or girl before the party (20–30 mins; props remain with the birthday boy or girl) and a personalised invitation video for guests featuring the birthday boy or girl’s name. Price: Mon–Thu €450, Fri–Sun €550.
2. Basic: 30-minute magic show, with the birthday child assisting in two tricks. Price: Mon–Thu €250, Fri–Sun €350.
Additional services: balloon animals for everyone €50, magic lesson and props €100, invitation video €39.
ON WEEKENDS, ONLY ONE PERFORMANCE
I take on one performance at weekends, either on Saturday or Sunday. Weekends in spring and autumn are usually booked 4–8 weeks in advance. If the birthday party is at the weekend, it’s best to enquire well in advance.
I need a space of about 2 x 3 metres; a standard living room is sufficient. I’ll bring my own sound system, backdrop and magic table, so you won’t need to provide anything. I’ll arrive 20–30 minutes before the show and set everything up whilst you’re having coffee and cake, for example. I only perform indoors.
The ideal number of children is 5–25. The show is also suitable for club rooms and party venues.
The show can also be performed in English.
