Theatre Tuike breathes new life into this classic, bringing it literally to the skin! The audience experiences the performance with their eyes covered, relying on their other senses. This atmospheric sensory theatre performance is also suitable for visually impaired audience members and does not require audio description.

*The Little Match Girl* is a powerful and immersive experience that every audience member can enjoy to the full. It is more than just an audio play and makes versatile use of the senses of hearing, smell, touch and taste instead of sight.

The theme of the performance is enjoying life and the little things, a sentiment reinforced by the sensory experiences employed. Although the little match-girl in the fairy tale dies, the story is not a tragedy; rather, death is presented as a natural continuation of life.

The performance is not suitable for people with fragrance sensitivities.

Drama workshop
It is possible to book a drama workshop to accompany the performance. The workshop explores various sensory perceptions using materials and props from the performance, and discusses the ideas raised by the performance through simple physical exercises and conversation. Workshop duration: 45 minutes

The performance can be booked for schools, nurseries, events and so on, or it can be staged at Teatteri Tuike in Malmi. A performance by three actors.
