The Daltons – A Dance Performance
Daltonit is a dance theatre adventure for the whole family, combining the movement cultures of dance and circus.
The Daltons’ escapades are full of emotion, momentum and dangerous situations, as circus artists Onni Toivonen and Kalle Lehto, along with the dancing children of Kinetic Orchestra founder Jarkko Mandelin, interpret the story of these anti-heroes, familiar from comic books.
The overarching theme of The Daltons is marginalisation, and its spirit is wild, thrilling and comical. Yet amidst all the chaos and slapstick, it also reveals a unique, stubbornly individual outlook on life – or perhaps the tragic side of irresponsibility. The Daltons are, as it were, a more humorous, ambiguous and whimsical version of The Seven Brothers, in which new sides are revealed in four life-battered but good-natured troublemakers when their usual shenanigans are interrupted by the sudden disappearance of an important family member.

Technical requirements
Lighting:The lighting for the performance is operated by the group’s technician. The lighting design can be modified if necessary.
Required equipment:
– MA2 lighting console (onPC + command wing minimum, light or full-size console preferred)
– Hazer capable of producing even smoke throughout the venue (e.g. Pea Soup, MDG)
– Smoke machine with DMX control
– Side light stands / tubes
– Lee 203 filters for side lights
Sound:
The sound for the performance is run from a QLab file by the group’s technician.
Required equipment:
– A quality full-range stereo sound system with subwoofers covering the entire audience area
-Monitoring for the performance area
-1 x Shure SM58 or equivalent with a boom stand
-1 wedge monitor
