THAUMATROP, OR MIRACLE TURN
The thaumatrope is an optical (vision-related) toy invented in the 19th century, which, when spun, makes two images appear to merge into one. In the workshop, participants will draw their own thaumatropes on paper, attach strings to them and combine two images into one by spinning the thaumatrope quickly.
You cannot force anyone to play, you can only invite them. Playfulness supports creativity, brings adults together and helps them cope with challenging situations in everyday life. The workshop is led by Minna Bengs, a visual artist with a Master's degree and a vocational teacher with a community-oriented approach. She has been teaching and guiding people of all ages, from toddlers to the elderly, since 2001.
