Silence – Dance performance
Premiered in 2024, Silence is a major work for eight dancers. The work takes choreographer Jarkko Mandelin’s signature style – a choreographic language combining contemporary dance, acrobatics and various martial arts techniques – to new heights.
Silence is a dance performance inspired by the performance of classical music. The dance group forms an orchestra modelled on the classical music tradition and does everything in its power to bring the movements of the concerto to life. Silence is the moment when a movement ends, the created world fades away and preparations for the next begin.
