Turunlahden sanaversomo

Southwest Finland, Turku

Turunlahden sanaversomo is an artistic working group that produces programme and expert services related to word art, as well as community artworks. The group consists of visual artist and community educator Minttu Turunlahti and word art instructor and language expert Jenni Turunlahti. In recent years, we have focused particularly on developing community-based word art methods that engage different age and target groups, and we have worked with multilingual children, upper secondary school students with special educational needs, and older people, among others. 11/2025 If I were a book, I would be a poem – a community word art exhibition at the Turku City Theatre's Art Wall. A digital exhibition compiled from the texts of participants in the Once Upon a Time literary club at Pansion School, in collaboration with the Turku Model for Hobbies project.

8/2025 Ristiin rastiin runo (Crossword Poem) environmental artwork as part of the Perheiden Taiteiden yö (Family Arts Night) event in collaboration with Turku Summer Theatre.

6–8/2025 P.S. I miss you environmental art installation in Kustavi as part of the Kallioilla environmental art event. Multilingual material also on display at the Turku Book Fair at Logomo in autumn 2025 and on an exhibition tour in Laitila, Mynämäki and Vehmaa in 2026. 5/2025 Satakielinen lintumetsä (Satakielinen bird forest) community art project in collaboration with the Auralan alueolohuone (Auralan community centre). Multilingual implementation. 1/2025 Lumesta loru, talvesta tarina (A rhyme about snow, a story about winter) material. Design and implementation of a loanable material package for early childhood education in the city of Turku.
