TeatteriQo

Helsinki, Uusimaa

TeatteriQo is a lively contemporary puppet theatre ensemble whose performances skilfully combine political and poetic elements.

Humanity, cooperation and poetic freedom are at the heart of the group's artistic work. On tour, we bring theatre to the heart of the audience's living environment and create opportunities for people to meet.]]In recent years, the group has produced acclaimed contemporary puppet theatre works for all ages, from toddlers to adults. Over the past two years, the group has created a theatre installation about meadows and biodiversity (Niitty, 2025), a performance about fear and prejudice (Susi Pöksyssä, 2024), a colourful, playful work about wool yarn and friendship, Kerällä (2024), and a slapstick story about neighbours who love tea as much as they dislike each other, Tea for Two (2023). In 2025, TeatetriQo's puppet theatre production Pilvien paino (The Weight of Clouds) made a comeback on stage at the Tampere Workers' Theatre as part of the New Classics project.

TeatteriQo's productions have been featured in numerous festival programmes throughout Finland, such as Sampo, Hurraa!, BRAVO!, Small Size Days, Sodankylä Film Festival, Oh my Puppets and TTIP-Fest. The group's performances have toured Finland and Europe, in rural areas and cities, as well as at festivals such as Tallinn Treff and Festival International des Théâtres de Marionnettes (Charleville-Mézières, France).

TeatteriQo is part of the Aura of Puppets and Metropolitan Puppets artist network.
