Teatteri ILMI Ö.

Helsinki, Uusimaa

Theatre ILMI Ö. has been a touring professional theatre since 2002. We produce theatre performances and community theatre for children, young people and seniors, as well as workshops and events for all ages.
Our expertise in participatory performing arts and other participatory working methods makes us a unique and significant player in the arts and society. Our touring activities are extensive. We are an agile organisation that brings theatre to people in their everyday environments: daycare centres, schools, service homes, libraries, regional cultural centres, Vos theatres, festivals and other venues.
We are renewing children's, youth and senior culture by creating high-quality participatory performances and community theatre on current topics using group and process-based working methods. We believe that art is a fundamental right for everyone and part of a good life. We believe that theatre art is part of the force for change with which we are building a sustainable future.
Theatre ILMI Ö. has produced more than 50 premieres, most of which are aimed at children and young people, more than 20 long-term art projects, four theatre festivals and several art exhibitions, which have reached a large audience and many participants. The main themes of the 2020–2028 programme are nature, the environment, climate change and sustainable development.
