I am a musician, composer and cultural expert from Rääkkylä, with a PhD in music. My work is based on Finnish and, in particular, Karelian cultural heritage. I am a founding member of the band Värttinä and a long-standing cultural influencer, performing both as a soloist and in various ensembles, including the band Set’Akat. I am the director of the Kihaus Folk Festival, which combines creative programme planning, community spirit and the strengthening of local cultural heritage.
