Monitaide Utopia

Southwest Finland, Turku

Monitaide Utopia is a performing arts collective founded in 2025. Although the group is new, it draws on years of professional experience from international circus arenas, humanitarian projects and the Finnish social circus field.

The group combines elements of both visual and performing arts in its work, producing experiential cultural events and performances suitable for all age groups.

At the heart of our activities is the creation of multilingual, participatory and communal experiences that transcend generational and cultural boundaries. We strive to build spaces and events where different art forms meet and where the audience can participate, experience and discover together.

Elina Oittinen is a circus professional and educator who combines clowning and physical theatre. She is a clown and performer specialising in non-verbal teaching and physical interaction, with extensive experience in multicultural art projects. Line Möller-Christenssen is an actress, physical theatre professional and hospital clown from Norway. She has solid international experience in humanitarian circus work in crisis areas and special expertise in trauma-informed and sensitive encounters. Antti Kervinen is a producer, performer and technical designer at Monitaide Utopia. He is also a long-time developer and implementer of social circus in Finland (Sirkus Fokus/Flamma). Antti is responsible for the visual world of the performances, video projections and technical implementation.
