Merkkarit is a children's music band from Turku that has been performing since 2010, playing their own compositions and classic children's songs with a lively rock vibe!
Merkkarit's entertaining show consists of fun songs, singing games and an immediate vibe. The duo, familiar from the Pikkukakkonen playlists, gets children to play and dance and adults to enjoy themselves.
The performance can be in Finnish, Swedish or bilingual. The performance is suitable for many different venues – we have performed in daycare centres, at festivals and even on cruise ships.
We bring our own sound system if agreed. Merkkarit is a rocking children's music band that plays traditional children's songs and their own songs with a fresh Ramones attitude. The duo offers a bilingual children's music show consisting of singing games and funny songs. They come from Turku! Merkkarit can perform in Finnish and Swedish.

We have performed at events organised by numerous cities, e.g. Turku, Helsinki, Tuusula, Ylöjärvi, Sastamala, Upplands-Väsby, Parainen, Kaarina, Savitapaipale, etc., as well as at several children's festivals such as Seikkisrock and Vekararock. At sea, we have performed on Viking Line and Tallink Silja ships.
