Lappeenranta Burleski ry is a growing burlesque art association founded in 2018 that enriches the cultural life of South Karelia with spectacular performances, workshops and memorable events. Our key productions have included Punaisen Kievarin Pidot, a visually spectacular burlesque play at the Savonlinna Culture Cellar. In it, burlesque and theatre were seamlessly combined into a single whole. Another similar burlesque theatre performance was Perikunnan piinaavat Paljastukset (The Tormenting Revelations of the Heirs), a horror comedy.

Our association has also participated in the Art@Bars event, where we performed in several restaurants in Lappeenranta and brought burlesque to a new audience in the heart of urban culture. Last year, Lappeenranta Burleski ry also began performing abroad and at the Tallinn Fringe Festival. The association participated in the festival on Saturday, 13 September 2025, with two of its own burlesque shows at the Heldeke! club.

Our activities are complemented by workshops and courses at our own Hillokellari studio – for example, the workshops "I Loooove Burlesque" and "Be Brave, Bold & Burlesque" – which strengthen participants' self-expression and performance confidence. In addition, our Ou Mai! performer network, consisting of active members of the association, can be booked for various events.

We collaborate with local event organisers and companies, among others, who book workshops and performances for parties, workplace wellbeing days and other events.
