Collaborative Work – A Shared Imprint

A SHARED IMPRINT

Creativity, movement and working together

What happens when a team does something that no one can do on their own?

In ‘A Shared Imprint’, we break free from pre-existing templates and let the work take shape together. Lines intersect, change and gradually form a shared work of art for the whole group.

The activity requires no drawing skills. All you need is curiosity, the courage to experiment and the ability to notice what’s happening around you.

The end result is a collaborative work by the team – a unique creation specific to this particular group.

This collaborative artwork offers a surprising and engaging artistic experience for workplaces and groups. A sheet of paper several metres in size is spread out on the floor, and participants get to draw and paint using unusual tools. A familiar activity is instantly transformed into a new kind of experiment, where curiosity is sparked, ideas take flight and the creative process carries you away.

The artwork is created collaboratively: through everyone’s marks, experiments and unexpected encounters. The starting point could be, for example, a shared vision, a topical theme within the workplace, or forms found in nature. Or we could simply let our imaginations lead the way and see what emerges.

A shared art session is ideal for a creative development day, getting into the right frame of mind for brainstorming, building team spirit or taking a break from everyday routines. No prior artistic experience is needed – the most important thing is to throw yourself into experimenting and let the collaborative process surprise you.

The experience also leaves a tangible memento: I select parts of the collaborative artwork to be framed and delivered to the workplace to be displayed. In this way, the art created together continues to live on in everyday life and serves as a reminder of what can emerge when we work together to do something out of the ordinary.
