Teatteri Tuike is a professional theatre company that offers high-quality, engaging and diverse theatre for audiences of all ages. We have our own theatre in Malmi, Helsinki, where we stage performances throughout the year.
We produce touring children’s theatre productions, summer theatre and performances aimed at adults. Our particular areas of expertise are non-verbal theatre and street theatre, where strong acting, physical expression and imagination create unique theatrical experiences.
We also stage performances tailored to the client’s needs, as well as providing characters for various events and occasions. Our professional team brings theatre flexibly to a variety of settings and creates impressive productions for different audiences and events.

Teatteri Tuike has 30 years’ diverse experience in professional theatre production, as well as appearances at both domestic and international festivals. Tuikkeen’s productions have been staged at, amongst others, the Little Ladies Little Gentlemen festival in Istanbul, the Naj, naj, naj festival in Zagreb, and the festivals in Brno and Hrastnik. Domestic festival appearances include the Kuulas festival.
Tuike’s awards and accolades include the SÄDE Honourable Mention (2023), the Yhteisvoima Award (2023) and the Iikka Award (2014). In particular, Tuikke’s sensory and blind theatre productions have gained widespread visibility and interest internationally.
Teatteri Tuikke has four children’s theatre productions constantly on tour: the toddler theatre show *Sukellus*; *Rukkanen*, a wordless show aimed at 3–8-year-olds; *Kummallinen kahvila*, a wordless show aimed at 4–10-year-olds; and *Kreivi Hohoo*, a show about fears. The performances are taken to nurseries, schools, cultural venues and various events throughout Finland.
Performances are staged year-round at Teatteri Tuikkeen’s own theatre in Malmi, Helsinki. The summer theatre’s most recent production in the summer of 2026 was *The Emperor’s New Clothes*, and *Peter Pan* is due to premiere in the summer of 2027. The autumn 2026 programme for adults will feature *Fertility*, produced in collaboration with the Ukrainian Ethno Contemporary Ballet Group.
Partners include the Children’s Day Foundation, the Heureka Science Centre, Tsuumi Dance Theatre, the Pukinmäki Art Schools and the Valo School of Expression
