I See Myself in You

I See Myself in You: therapeutic photography as a tool for peer support

‘I See Myself in You’ is a peer support workshop concept based on therapeutic photography. Through photographic exercises, participants can explore their own experiences, feelings, identities and strengths, and discover new perspectives on themselves and the world around them.

At the heart of the workshop lies a safe community, peer support and the sharing of experiences. Through images, it is also possible to make visible things that are difficult to put into words. Working together enables participants to feel heard, to reflect on their experiences and to build connections.

The ‘I see myself in you’ concept can be adapted for different groups and themes. The workshop can be delivered in person, remotely or as a hybrid. The content is tailored to the group’s needs.

The workshop is not therapy, but rather an art- and community-based approach that utilises therapeutic photography methods to strengthen peer support and a sense of community.
