‘We Remember – 20 Stories of War’ is an interactive exhibition and engagement programme that brings the experiences of people who lived through the war to life through portraits, stories and video documentation.

At the same time, it creates a safe space for the local community to discuss history and difficult experiences and memories from a human perspective.

The exhibition is not intended solely for older people, but for people of all ages to pass on and understand the legacy of the war generation.

The exhibition comprises:
– 20 portraits of people who lived through the war, drawn live
– their stories in text form alongside the portraits
– video documentation
– a space where visitors can share their own stories independently
– guidance for schools and teachers on exploring the exhibition
– guidance on organising intergenerational workshops locally

I will set up the exhibition on site and hold an opening event (on the same day), which can serve as a catalyst for discussion in the local community. Organising the opening requires local involvement.
