Art on commission
Art according to your wishes
Tell me your wishes regarding the location, size, colours and content of the painting. Commissioned art is always based on joint discussion and planning. I paint first, and you buy it if you like it. Most often, the subjects of commissioned works have been old houses/cityscapes and children. Sometimes interior paintings have also been made according to the customer's wishes, for example, so that the beautiful windows of the customer's old villa are repeated in the painting. Animal-themed paintings are also frequently commissioned, for example, to suit the customer's own mental landscape (such as animals grilling sausages in the Lapland landscape).
If the customer wants a very large work (e.g. 200x100cm) or the subject matter is such that it is unlikely that anyone else will buy it later (e.g. a painting of the customer's own summer cottage), an advance payment is agreed with the customer, which the customer will pay for the work in any case. If the purchase is made from a finished painting, the advance payment will be deducted from the price of the finished painting. The price for a commissioned work measuring 100x81cm, for example, is approximately £1,750-£1,900. If a painting of two children is desired for a work of that size, the price will be slightly higher. I do not paint actual portraits of children, but the depictions are always indirect, e.g. "from behind the ear".
