A Woman from Ostrobothnia – poems, stories and photographs
A Woman from Ostrobothnia is an intimate collection of poetry, stories and photographic art by the poet and lyricist Eira Viitala.
The stories of a life lived intertwine sensitivity and strength, love and letting go, roots, the traces of generations, and the courage to live life on one’s own terms. In her performance, Eira weaves her poems together with the stories behind them and a visual world of photography.
The programme is particularly well-suited to libraries, literary and cultural evenings, galleries, events organised by associations, and various themed and celebratory occasions.
