Via Bivium is an ensemble dedicated to performing medieval and early Renaissance music (700–1450 AD). It was founded in 2026 by Stephanie Archer, recorder, and Evgenia Karpova, rebec. Via Bivium aims to share a rich and beautiful musical heritage, shaped by the ensemble members’ diverse musical backgrounds and personalities.
The ensemble has become known for its unique sound and its meditative approach, which aims to convey a calming and serene atmosphere to the audience.

Via Bivium performs medieval music that reflects both the historical context of the material being performed and the ensemble’s own perspective on the modern world – a world full of hope and a vibrant respect for the history of humankind.
The ensemble has performed in cafés, churches, concert halls, museums, galleries and at private events. The core of the ensemble flexibly consists of 2–3 musicians, but the line-up can be expanded or reduced depending on the needs of the project.
