The Association for New Textile Art (UUTE ry) is a national and internationally active organisation for contemporary textile artists. It was founded and registered in Helsinki in December 2014. The purpose of the association is: to develop textile art as a free art form, to promote the status of textile art, to enhance the professional skills of its members, and to represent its members in professional matters both in Finland and abroad. Membership is open to professional textile artists who use textiles as a concrete or conceptual starting point in their works within the field of visual arts
