My name is Tiina Laasonen and I am a sculptor based in Seinäjoki. My sculptures and public artworks have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in Finland and abroad, and my works are included in many public collections, including the National Gallery. I have created many public works, the most recent of which are at the Snellman Music Centre (Kokkola) in 2024 and the Kaleva Navetta Culture and Art Centre (Seinäjoki) in 2020. I was awarded the 2019 Sanomalehti Pohjalainen Vaasan Jaakkoo Culture Prize, the 2017 Pohjanmaa Art Commission Art Prize and the 1997 Young Pohjanmaa Artist Prize. I graduated from the Kankaanpää Art School as a sculptor in 1993 and am a member of the Finnish Sculptors' Association.
