Viitapiiri is a literary arts association whose mission is to promote the professional careers of its members.

Viitapiiri has been active for over thirty years, organising events, courses and training.
We aim to offer our members visibility and opportunities to perform and develop. In practice, the board consists of professional writers.
We publish a small annual publication. We organise the Runopihafestivaali festival and two ongoing open mic events, Onda open mic and Virvatuliklubi.
