Teatteri Metamorfoosi is a professional theatre company founded in Helsinki in 2006, whose mission is to develop the culture of physical theatre performance and education in Finland.
We work in three different sectors: performance, education and mask making.
Various mask theatre traditions and practices related to mask expression are our special area of expertise and are at the core of our work, if not always in performances, then in rehearsals and especially in education.
In recent years, Teatteri Metamorfoosi has further broadened its expressive language by combining the traditions of physical theatre and its international expertise with contemporary theatre texts.

Teatteri Metamorfoosi has successfully staged performances based on topical plays previously unpublished in Finland (Stefano Massini, Alice Birch, Falk Richter and even philosophers such as Didier Eribon) and challenged us to rethink the role of theatre in our society.
At the same time, Metamorfoosi has taken major steps forward in terms of production under the leadership of a professional producer and launched major collaborative projects with, among others, VOS Theatres. Performances 2020-2026:
