TaikaBox is based around the work of Finnish choreographer Tanja Råman and British video artist John Collingswood.
We combine technology, movement, community, sustainability and creativity to enhance and enrich expression and experience.
Our activities focus on cross-media collaboration with emphasis on dance and technology, making performances for a range of audiences and contexts.
We run various residency programmes and outreach activities that use cross-media collaboration to create, develop and empower communities.

TaikaBox is part of Oulu City's Cultural Portfolio and receives regular funding from Taike.
We are currently producing Finland's first dance/technology festival as part of the official programme of Oulu2026.
International projects include EU Dance Hack and Tiny Spaces Deep Connections – both funded by Creative Europe – in collaboration with partners in Germany, Hungary, Romania and Greece.
