Red Beans & Rice is Åland's most experienced happy jazz band and has been around in various constellations for almost 40 years.
The band's signature sound is cheerful, listener-friendly and danceable music with roots in the New Orleans tradition. The repertoire also includes jazzed-up folk songs and sea shanties with connections to Åland.
"De Röda Bönorna" (The Red Beans) perform at everything from jazz festivals to private parties.

The band currently consists of Maria Stenberg-Haug (vocals), Ove Andersson (banjo/vocals), Mikael Andersson (tuba), Inger Marie Sundblom (trumpet/flugelhorn), Börje "Lillebror" Åhlund (clarinet/saxophone) and Kim Jansson (percussion).
