We produced a series of status reports and proposals for action on cultural wellbeing work in North Karelia for the North Karelia Wellbeing Region – Siun sote in 2025. The review was compiled for use by all cultural wellbeing actors in the region.

The North Karelia Arts Council awarded us the regional arts prize in 2025. The citation mentioned, among other things, our role as an actor renewing and strengthening the North Karelian arts scene, and that we have reached a wide range of audiences. Reaching out to audiences was also mentioned in the grounds for the 2021 Cultural Achievement of the Year award, presented to us by the Karjalainen newspaper.

We have been a cultural partner of the City of Joensuu for the years 2023–2025 and again for 2026–2027 (with an option until 2029).

We received three-year funding (2025–2027) from the Finnish Cultural Foundation to launch and establish Verson, a new arts festival for children and young people. The first festival took place in November 2025.

We were a co-implementer in the IHKU – cultural wellbeing for older men – project, funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, from 2023 to 2025. Our role was to develop cultural participation and cultural wellbeing as part of outreach work with older men. The project was managed by the North Karelia Social Welfare Association, with the City of Joensuu and Karelia University of Applied Sciences as co-implementers.

We have collaborated with numerous municipalities and associations in North Karelia, as well as with other arts organisations operating in various regions.
