Petra Innanen is a Master of Fine Arts, visual artist and burlesque artist who is actively involved in the field of multidisciplinary art as both a creator and producer. She has taught visual arts since 1990 at both universities and folk high schools. Innanen has produced events, small clubs and the large international Helsinki Burlesque Festival since 2007. She performs under the stage name Bettie Blackheart and also hosts events. She has taught burlesque art in Finland and internationally. With the help of her art guide character Leila Halkeama, she conducts engaging carnival-style guided tours of exhibitions, hosts and organises visual arts workshops. She has extensive networks in the fields of performing and visual arts, and she organises small and large events, from wellness days to memorable large-scale events. She can be booked to give lectures on a variety of topics, from artists' self-portraits and the use of colour in interior design to the history of Finnish burlesque. Her strengths lie in her participatory approach and her gentle, inclusive manner. She is a bold trailblazer and knows how to inspire her participants. She is interested in the cultivation of diverse gardens, and an atmospheric art workshop can also be held in the middle of a large garden, studying flowers and pollinators visually.
