Customer references
My most important references include photographic art exhibition projects, my long career as a photography teacher, and photography-related podcasts and educational content.
In 2023, my series Urbaario – a collection of urban finds was exhibited as the ‘Pictures of the Month’ exhibition at Photo North – the Northern Photography Centre in Oulu, and prior to this at the Hilma Museum in Joensuu, as well as at the Mikkeli Photography Centre. The series examines objects found in the urban environment as contemporary archaeology and reflects on what these everyday finds reveal about our lifestyles and our relationship with the environment.
I also took part in the Finnish Museum of Photography’s exhibition Does This Look Familiar? – Photographs of Finnish Everyday Life in 2018. The exhibition was linked to the Finnish Photographers’ Association’s ‘Images of Everyday Life’ workshop and the research project ‘Two Finlands – Is Inequality Growing?’, administered by the University of Eastern Finland. Overall, photography was used to examine Finnish everyday life and social experiences.
I work as a lecturer in photography at Riveria Vocational College, where I guide students in photography, visual thinking and documentary work. I have also produced podcasts on photography and visual culture. Potential partners include those working in photography, art education, the environment, local history and cultural production.
