The joy of visual art is at the heart of my work as a self-employed visual artist. Regardless of age, people enjoy creating images in a playful spirit, discovering and marvelling at what emerges! I enjoy leading group art projects for children, families, adults and seniors in various contexts. The content is tailored to the client's and group's wishes, both in terms of techniques and theme. For me, the creative process itself is just as important as the end result.
I take on various types of assignments, ranging from leading a programme item at a single event to leading a group for an entire school year. I currently visit daycare centres regularly and lead a hobby group for younger schoolchildren. Even when I create my own art, the joy is very present, even when I may be dealing with big, difficult issues. When the pictures are exhibited, it is interesting for me to hear what the viewer sees in them; it becomes a whole new story. Recently, I have mainly worked in watercolour, mixed media and metal graphics. I am happy to do watercolours on commission. I am a trained visual artist and have completed basic and subject studies in visual arts at the Open University. I am also a childcare worker and health visitor, and in my working life I have previously cared for both newborns and the elderly. I have a calm and attentive approach to both people and image creation.
