North Ostrobothnia, Oulu

I have been composing and performing children's music since 2017, full-time since 2021. I have performed hundreds of concerts with various ensembles and released three children's music albums. I sell, produce and perform the following children's music concerts: – Laulukudelmia (solo/duo) – Pentti Punkin Syntymäpäivät (duo/trio)
– Tunteellinen siili (Emotional Hedgehog) poetry concert (trio with Soiva Siili) The concerts are primarily aimed at early childhood education and primary school age children, but are suitable for all ages! I have performed hundreds of children's music concerts. The concerts have been particularly praised for their musical quality and diversity, as well as for the calm presence of the performers and their understanding of the target audience, which comes from their background in early childhood education.

LAULUKUDELMIA Laulukudelmia, winner of the 2024 Newcomer of the Year award, is Hiski Pajuniemi's children's music project. In addition to his vocal chords, Hiski's solo performances feature guitar, wind instruments and synthesizer. With the help of his looper, Pajuniemi conjures up multi-layered vocal arrangements from these melodic threads that grab the listener's attention. Pianist and violinist Elina Korhonen accompanies him in duo concerts. We also offer seasonal concerts: KAUHUKUDELMIA! (Horror Songs!) and JOULUKUDELMIA! (Christmas Songs!).

PENTTI PUNKIN SYNTYMÄPÄIVÄT The core of this children's music ensemble consists of Hiski Pajuniemi (vocals, guitar, bass, wind instruments) and Valtteri Huovinen (vocals, guitar, ukulele). The band, which started out in early childhood education, is known for its participatory songs and energetic performances. Multi-instrumentalist Matti Manninen (bass, drums, vocals) joins the trio for concerts.

EMOTIONAL HEDGEHOG Markus Lampela and Kyösti Salmijärvi from the state-awarded Soiva Siili ensemble and Hiski Pajuniemi from Pentti Punkin Syntymäpäivät ja Laulukudelmista recite poetry and play music in this poetry concert.

The content of the performance is emotional education in poetic form, through words and music. The concert features songs from the musicians' own productions, set to the rhythm of poetry, and the audience is taken on a journey through a wide range of emotions.
