Hans-Peter Schütt
Pirkanmaa, Tampere
I am a multidisciplinary visual artist working in Tampere and Turku, and I hold a Master's degree in Fine Arts (TaiK, 2005).
My means of expression are determined on a project-by-project basis according to the content of the work, the possibilities and requirements for its implementation, and the venue. I largely favour recycled and surplus materials in my work. My art focuses on environmental issues, with themes such as animals, landscapes, consumption habits and resources. My works are included in the art collections of the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation and the Helsinki Art Museum HAM, among others. In addition to being a visual artist, I have worked in the field of art in teaching positions in basic education, as well as in museums, children's cultural centres, art schools and universities.
In addition to being a visual artist, I have worked in the field of art in teaching positions in basic education, as well as in museums, children's cultural centres, art schools, universities and in various projects. I have held positions of responsibility in visual arts associations (Mehiläispesä ry / HUUTO! Galleria, ARTE ry / Titanik galleria). From 2017 to 2021, I worked at the Arts Promotion Centre Finland as a regional artist for environmental art, working on environmental art projects, artists' working conditions and public art. I am a founding member of Galleria Jänis in Turku and Rajatalo ry.
