Launch of the Culture Bank online service in North Savo postponed
The launch of the Culture Bank online service, designed for cultural and art professionals, will be postponed in North Savo compared to the original schedule. Careful preparation work is being carried out in the background. We want to ensure the correct procedures in handling user data and organizing cooperation. This way, Culture Bank will be launched on a sustainable basis and will serve cultural and art professionals in North Savo in the long term. It is important that the responsibilities and obligations of the different parties involved in the use of the service are agreed upon in writing, so that the service supports users’ needs and a smooth introduction from the beginning.
Towards a smooth and sustainable service
Culture Bank is a free online service that brings art and cultural professionals together in one place – and makes their expertise easily accessible. Through the service, professionals can publish their profiles and offer services such as performances and workshops. Clients, in turn, can find creators from a wide area with a single search.
Culture Bank will provide a new channel for visibility, cooperation, and resource sharing – and although the launch will take place later, the end result will better serve artists, cultural actors, and municipalities alike.
The innovation was originally developed by the City of Tampere as a regional collaboration in Pirkanmaa. The popular service is now expanding during the autumn to cover almost the entire country. Swedish- and English-language versions will also support the international visibility of art and cultural professionals.
The expanding Culture Bank is coordinated by the City of Tampere. The technical implementation is provided by Red & Blue Oy, and the visual identity has been created in cooperation with Kaski Agency. The expansion of Culture Bank has been funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture through the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), as part of the Next Generation EU programme.
We will provide further updates on progress during the rest of the year.
