Eija-Liisa Pokki – expression trainer and theatre practitioner

I am a long-standing theatre practitioner and expression trainer with experience in amateur theatre and participatory cultural activities dating back to 2001.

My ‘Joy of Expression’ training courses utilise theatrical expression, improvisation, drama and creative exercises. The courses are suitable for workplaces, groups and communities wishing to strengthen interaction, cooperation, spontaneity and the courage to express themselves. The aim is to discover the joy of working together, to free ourselves from unnecessary pressure to perform, and to dare to express ourselves in our own way.

I am particularly passionate about giving older people and those with special needs the opportunity to experience the joy of self-expression, theatre and drama, and to find their own ways of being seen and heard.

I also run amateur theatre groups and organise participatory cultural and exercise sessions, such as chair exercises.
