Miia Ikimeri
Miian kuvia
Espoo, Uusimaa
I am a visual artist living in Espoo; I graduated from the Kankaanpää Art School in 2025 with a Master’s degree in Visual Arts.
My preferred working methods include various printmaking techniques, drawing, ceramics and painting. You can view examples of my work on Instagram @miian_kuvia or on my website miiankuvia.fi
In my printmaking, I use a lot of colour, and my subjects are often drawn from nature, femininity and childhood memories. In my woodcuts and cardboard prints, the subjects are usually fairy-tale-like, and the laws of everyday life do not apply in the world of these images. In my metal prints, the subjects of the images are mostly drawn from everyday moments and memories. I also enjoy combining other materials, such as wool and plaster, with my prints to enhance their sculptural quality and challenge the traditional concept of printmaking.
I am also a qualified teacher and am well-equipped, with plenty of experience, to lead individual or group art lessons, clubs or evening sessions for groups of different ages, as well as to organise various small-scale art events.
I also enjoy creating illustrations and designing logos.
