I'm a Turku-based musician and pedagogue. My lifelong journey as a pianist, singer, piano tutor and songwriter/arranger began as a 5-year-old on my grandma's piano stool. Musicianship began to take shape during the years spent in a music-oriented school class and later, studying in London as well as working and performing in and around Amsterdam. Since 2018, I'm back in the Turku region.
Genres ranging from popular musics to classical are all dear to me. My teaching approach incorporates theory, improvisation, harmonic progression and reflection on the elements of music. Lessons are tailored to the student’s skills level, motivation and preferences. I teach in Finnish and in English. Learning to play should be enjoyable, even if it takes a bit of struggling at times!
As a keyboardist, my focus is on the lighter music genres. As a soprano, I also regularly perform classical music.
