The Ostrobothnia Regional Dance Centre is a bilingual regional dance centre and forms part of the regional dance centre network.
The Regional Dance Centre organises performances and events, the ‘Ostrobothnia Dances’ festival, and projects related to cultural wellbeing for all target groups. The Centre acts as a regional dance expert in the provinces of Ostrobothnia, South Ostrobothnia and Central Ostrobothnia.
Our tasks include:
– enabling dance professionals to work and ensuring the realisation of artistic freedom
– increasing equal access to and availability of dance, regardless of place of residence or financial circumstances
– carrying out educational work in the field of dance and raising awareness of the possibilities offered by dance
– enhancing the status of dance as a form of art, culture and wellbeing.

The Regional Centre for Dance acts as an employer for its service providers – that is, professionals in the independent dance sector – whilst ensuring compliance with statutory employer obligations.
